橫山書法藝術館 @tmofa_hcac の展覧会「自由自在」は、日本統治時代を含む台湾の激動の100年を刻んだ女性書家たちの作品を展示する、台湾で初めて女性書家を主題とした展覧会です。 この展覧会のために約3年の歳月をかけて準備されたキュレーターの盧慧紋教授 @hui_wen_lu は、開幕式で「『自由自在』展の意味は、どのような環境にあっても『自分の道を歩むこと』だ」と語られ、胸が熱くなりました。
2023年の夏にお声がけいただき、5人の台湾の女性と共に HITOMOJI PROJECT -Women- の制作に取り組みました。その過程で、台湾の歴史や社会の現状、同性婚、原住民、そして女性たちの真実の声を知り、想像を超える感動と発見がありました。 盧教授の素晴らしい理念と研究のもとに企画された展覧会に出展させていただけたことを、大変光栄に思います。本当にありがとうございました。
橫山書法藝術館的展覽《自由自在》展出橫跨日本統治時期在內、刻畫台灣百年激動歷史的女性書法家作品，也是台灣首次以女性書法家為主題的大型展覽。
為了這次展覽，策展人盧慧紋教授花了將近三年的時間籌備。在開幕式上，她提到《自由自在》的意涵是「無論身處何種環境，都要走出屬於自己的一條路」，聽到這句話時，我感到熱血沸騰、心中充滿感動。
我在2023年夏天受邀，與五位台灣女性共同參與 HITOMOJI PROJECT -Women- 的創作。在這個過程中，我接觸到台灣的歷史、社會現況、同性婚姻、原住民，以及女性最真實的聲音，帶來了超乎想像的感動與發現。
能夠在盧教授偉大的理念與研究之下參與這場展覽並展出作品，我深感榮幸。衷心感謝。
The exhibition “自由自在Walking Their Own Paths” at the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center showcases works by women calligraphers who lived through Taiwan’s turbulent century, including the Japanese colonial period. It is the first large-scale exhibition in Taiwan dedicated to women calligraphers.
Professor Hui-Wen Lu, the curator, spent nearly three years preparing this exhibition. At the opening, she said that the meaning of “自由自在” is “to walk one’s own path, no matter the circumstances.” Her words moved me deeply and filled my heart with warmth.
In the summer of 2023, I was invited to collaborate with five Taiwanese women on the HITOMOJI PROJECT -Women-. Through this process, I learned about Taiwan’s history, contemporary society, same-sex marriage, Indigenous peoples, and the authentic voices of women, experiencing inspiration and discoveries beyond imagination.
It is a great honor to have exhibited in this exhibition, realized under Professor Lu’s remarkable vision and research. I am truly grateful.
