今日は 国際女性デー（International Women’s Day）。
2025年、HITOMOJI PROJECT -Women- のインタビューで出会った台湾の女性 丹珮瑜（Pei-Yu Dan） さんを紹介します。
彼女は台湾の原住民族、邵族（Thao） の女性です。
彼女を表す一文字は「幸」(Happiness)
「今一番望むものは？」
という質問に、彼女は迷わず
「健康」
と答えました。
彼女は、がんを乗り越えたばかりでした。
「以前は、物事に不満を感じることが多かったけれど、今はどんなことの中にも幸せを見つけられるようになりました。
今日あなたに会えたことも、幸せです。」
世界には、しなやかに、強く生きる女性たちがいます。
HITOMOJI PROJECT -Women-を通して、世界の女性たちの内なる声を、
一文字の書として発表していきたいと思っています。

Today is International Women’s Day.
I would like to introduce Pei-Yu Dan, a woman from Taiwan whom I interviewed in 2025 for HITOMOJI PROJECT -Women-
She is a member of the Thao Indigenous people of Taiwan.
The character that represents her is
「幸」 (Happiness).
When I asked her,
“What do you wish for most right now?”
She immediately answered,
“Health.”
She had just overcome cancer.
She said,
“I used to feel dissatisfied with many things,
but now I can find happiness in everything.
Meeting you today also makes me happy.”
There are women in the world
who live with resilience and strength.
Through HITOMOJI PROJECT – Women,
I hope to express the inner voices of women
through a single character of calligraphy.
